Juventus chief flies into London to hammer out compensation deal with Chelsea for Sarri

Juventus chief Fabio Paratici is in London as he attempts to thrash out a compensation package with Chelsea to take boss Maurizio Sarri to Italy.

Sarri has already agreed a three-year, £6.2million-a-season deal to become manager at the Allianz, but Chelsea are holding firm to their current boss.

The west London club are refusing to budge and won’t let him leave for Italy until a compensation package has been agreed.

And now Paratici has moved to finish the negotiations by travelling to London to meet Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia in person.

It is believed Chelsea want around £5m in compensation if Sarri is to go back to Juve, therefore ending his £5m-a-year deal in London, of which he still has two years remaining.

Juventus are desperate to conclude their talks with Chelsea and get Sarri to the Allianz, in order to begin preparations for next season in the transfer market.

There are plenty of rumours surrounding an exit for Paulo Dybala, while it has been reported in Corriere dello Sport that Sarri has already identified Mauro Icardi as a transfer target when he moves to Serie A.

The former Napoli boss secured Champions League football for Chelsea next season through league position, while also beating Arsenal to win the Europa League.

Despite that, he is not popular among Chelsea fans – many of whom are desperate to see Frank Lampard take the reins next season.

The legendary Blues midfielder is currently in charge of Derby and just missed out on promotion to the Premier League in the Championship play-off final last month.
