Lane Kiffin is rumored to be considering leaving Ole Miss for a high-profile position.

Lane Kiffin’s contract with Ole Miss runs until 2024, but rumors about his future continue to circulate.

According to the most recent report circulating in the college football world, Kiffin would be willing to leave the Rebels for a specific team this offseason.

Kiffin will leave Ole Miss for the University of Miami, according to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 South Florida.

Of course, this can only happen if Manny Diaz is fired and Kiffin is hired.

This isn’t the first time Kiffin has been linked to Miami this week.

Former Miami Hurricanes booster Nevin Shapiro was recently contacted by Yahoo Sports reporter Dan Wentzel for his thoughts on the program’s future.

According to Shapiro, Kiffin is the front-runner for the Hurricanes’ head coaching job.

“I texted Nevin Shapiro, my best Miami source, or certainly the most interesting Miami source,” Wetzel said, according to the Clarion Ledger.

“Nevin claims Lane Kiffin is the best candidate, with Randy Shannon as the defensive coordinator.”

Kiffin has yet to be questioned about the reports, so it’s unclear where he stands right now.

There’s no denying that Kiffin would have a better chance in the ACC, but he hasn’t indicated that he’s ready to leave Ole Miss.

He’s only been with the program for two seasons, but the early signs in Oxford are promising.
