Lazio bounced back from their 3-2 defeat to Atalanta as they came from behind to beat Fiorentina 2-1 on Saturday.
The Biancocelesti entered the Rome Olimpico Stadium with 7 points deficit to leaders Juventus on the table after they fumbled a 2-0 advantage against Atalanta in Wednesday’s game.
The away side broke the deadlock in the 25th minute with a moment of magic as the veteran Franck Ribery cut inside into the box from the left, dribbling past defenders and smashing home with a curler.
Lazio scored the equalizer in the 67th minute after Felipe Caicedo was charged by Fiorentina’s goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski in the box, Ciro Immobile stepped in to convert the penalty.
The Aquile turned around the game in the 82nd minute when Luis Alberto’s pass bounced back by the defender, and the Spaniard followed to beat Dragowski with a daisy-cutter.
In the day’s other fixture, Cagliari claimed the second consecutive win with a 4-2 home victory over Torino.
