Last night, Patriots QB Mac Jones made NFL history.

Last night’s 25-0 win over the Atlanta Falcons continued a trend for New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones.

Jones threw for 206 yards and a touchdown on 22 of 26 passing attempts in the victory.

His 84.6 percent completion rate in the game was his second in a row, and he was the first rookie to do so.

This season, only a few quarterbacks in the league have been more efficient with the ball.

While Jones has made mistakes, he has distributed the ball at a rate that even Tom Brady hasn’t been able to match.

Jones is third in the league with a completion percentage of 70.2%.

Only Kyler Murray and Dak Prescott have a higher completion percentage (and both are contenders for MVP in the middle of the season).

Perhaps more importantly, the Patriots’ five-game winning streak has been aided by Mac Jones’ outstanding quarterbacking.

Granted, the defense has been outstanding, allowing only 13 points to their last three opponents.

However, we’ve seen plenty of good defenses lose games because their young quarterback made too many errors.

This year, Jones hasn’t had a problem with it.

Jones’ chances of winning Rookie of the Year seemed bleak early in the season.

However, in light of recent events, that impossibility is beginning to appear as a foregone conclusion.

Will Mac Jones take home the award for Rookie of the Year?
