LSU is ranked No. 1 in the nation.

In LSU’s search to replace Ed Orgeron as coach, three major candidates have emerged.

Lincoln Riley isn’t rumored to be involved.

Jimbo Fisher is rumored to be a top candidate for the Tigers.

He’s at the top of the list, according to an LSU source told KSR’s Matt Jones.

Fisher is said to be one of three candidates LSU is considering.

And he’s not the only well-known figure on the list.

Fisher is joined by Bill O’Brien, a former NFL head coach, and Mark Stoops, the current head coach of the University of Kentucky.

“An excellent LSU source just saw my report and informed me that the LSU list is as follows: 1.

2. Jimbo Fischer

3. Bill O’Brien

On Twitter, Jones reported, “Mark Stoops in that order.”

Jimbo Fisher’s departure from Texas A&M is unlikely.

Earlier this month, he was asked about the LSU rumors and quickly debunked them.

“I want to be at AandM,” Fisher expressed his desire.

“I’m staying at AandM; I’m not going anywhere.”

There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

I enjoy being in this location.

“… This year, we’re going to recruit an incredible class.”

Who’s going to recruit all of these guys to AandM so I can go across — over here — and play against them? If I did that, you’d probably say I’m the dumbest human being, and I don’t want him to be my coach.”

Stranger things have happened in the past.

It wouldn’t be surprising if he switched from the Aggies to the Tigers.

LSU is ranked No. 1 in a new report.

For the vacant position of Head Coach, there is only one option.
