Manchester United have won the race to sign sought after teenager Alejandro Garnacho from Atletico Madrid.
United fought off competition from Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, among others, to secure the highly-rated 16-year-old’s signature.
Marca claim the young striker, who has come through the ranks at Atletico and was playing for their U19 side, will sign a five-year feat at Old Trafford.

Garnacho is the latest Spanish-based played to join United’s academy after they also sealed deals for Alvaro Fernandes from Real and Marc Jurado from Barcelona.
Garnacho, described as Atletico Madrid’s ‘jewel’, may have to wait for his chance to break into the United first team, but with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s focus on youth he will feel there will be an opportunity on the horizon at Old Trafford.
Solksjaer has so far made just one high profile addition to his squad, with Donny van de Beek joining from Ajax in a £40million deal.
United will continue to pursue Jadon Sancho, their top summer target, but will be looking to get other deals over the line before the transfer window closes in October.
