Nicolas Pepe believes he is making progress at Arsenal after a slow start but admits that there is still plenty of room for improvement.
Arsenal fans were delighted when the Ivory Coast international became the club’s record signing for £72m in the summer.
However, his start was underwhelming to say the least, the forward failing to find the net from open play until midway through December.
Nonetheless there have been signs of encouragement since Mikel Arteta took charge of the club.
‘Things are definitely going better,’ he said ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
‘I am still learning and there is plenty of room for improvement, but in terms of understanding, things are definitely becoming easier.
‘Mikel has explained exactly what he would like me to do on the pitch and shown me videos that have stressed the importance of my positioning.
‘He’s told me what he would like me to do to help me progress as a player.’
