One college football coach is “very intrigued” by USC.

Over the last two months, a slew of well-known coaches have been linked to USC’s job opening.

Bruce Feldman, a college football insider, added another name to the Trojans’ list of coaching candidates on Saturday morning.

USC is reportedly interested in Baylor coach Dave Aranda, according to Feldman.

After a rocky first season with the Bears, he’s off to an 8-2 start and a chance to lead the team to a New Year’s Six bowl game.

“Dave Aranda had a career coaching record of 4-7 in September,” Feldman said.

“Well, it’s November now.”

Baylor is 8-2, coming off a highlight win in which they shut down Lincoln Riley’s offense, and OU Aranda’s coaching stock has skyrocketed.

Aranda has piqued the interest of both USC and Washington, according to my sources.”

Aranda has West Coast roots, according to Feldman.

He was born and raised about an hour away from USC.

It’s worth noting that Aranda isn’t going to take any job that comes her way.

According to Feldman, Aranda’s departure from Waco must be the right fit.

“He recognizes and is very self-aware of how he may not be an ideal fit in certain settings,” Feldman said. “So he’ll be very careful about his next move.”

This offseason, USC and Washington may engage in a bidding war for Aranda.
