Partey to RETURN for Liverpool clash, Franck Kessie’s battle, Pepe and Elneny to LEAVE

ARSENAL will face Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, looking to extend their winning streak.

Over the international break, a number of Gunners youngsters shone, with Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka scoring for England.

Arsenal are also considering a January move for Ajax wonderkid Noussair Mazraoui, who could be available for a bargain.

Nicolas Pepe, meanwhile, could be on his way out in January, with Newcastle, Everton, and Crystal Palace all interested in the £72 million winger.

In addition, reports claim that Arsenal has joined rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the race to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

BATTLE OF THE VLAHOVIC

Arsenal’s pursuit of Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic has been thwarted.

Borussia Dortmund is offering Donyell Malen plus £30 million for Vlahovic, according to Calciomercato.

Since the transfer window closed last summer, the striker has been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Other teams, some of which play in the Premier League, have also expressed interest in the Serbian international.

PREDICTIONS BY MERSON

Paul Merson predicted a 1-1 draw between Arsenal and Liverpool at Anfield.

“This is most definitely the game of the Premier League weekend and a big one for both teams,” Merson told Sportskeeda.

“Liverpool are attempting to win the league and must rebound from their defeat to West Ham.”

Arsenal, on the other hand, is flying and on the attack, but they will not want to be labeled as flat-track bullies.

“They need to win here against one of the best teams in the country, and even if they don’t, a football game can be lost in a variety of ways.”

I’ve been saying since the beginning of the season that Arsenal can finish in the top four if they keep their starting XI fit.

“Given the two clubs’ ambitions, a draw would be beneficial to Arsenal, while a loss would be detrimental to Liverpool, who are attempting to win the Premier League.”

“However, I believe the two teams will split the points at Anfield.”
