Paul Finebaum Identifies One Coach Who Has Helped Him Grow As A Fan

In recent years, ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum has admitted to becoming a bigger fan of a certain Big Ten head coach.

Tennessee was close to hiring Greg Schiano a few years ago.

A group of Volunteers fans, on the other hand, were outraged by the hire and took to social media to protest it.

The supporters were successful, as the school decided against hiring him and instead hired Jeremy Pruitt.

Pruitt was fired after the Volunteers were discovered to have broken NCAA rules.

Rutgers is one win away from playing in a bowl game in 2021, according to Schiano.

Finebaum, a Tennessee graduate, has grown to be a big supporter.

“Because of what happened at Tennessee, I’ve become a bigger fan of Schiano today than I was before,” Finebaum told Rutgers Wire. “I’m an alum – I thought that was one of the great travesties in modern college football history.”

I’m not an expert on karma, but it’s clear that it played a role in what happened there.”

Finebaum admits that Tennessee’s decision was a complete disaster.

“How did that work out? You had an angry mob led by some people on social media who destroyed a man’s chance to get a job, and there was not a shred of evidence,” Finebaum continued.

“It was completely absurd, and Tennessee, too, should have stood by their offer to the man.”
