RYAN GIGGS is failing to flog his former family home – despite it being on the market for over a year-and-a-half.
The Manchester United legend has been trying to sell his five-bedroom mansion since January 2019.
There are some interesting features in the luxury pile – including several rooms clad in purple cloth – and a life size cutout of Justin Bieber.
Welsh national coach Giggs put his plush pad up for sale after finalising the divorce with ex-wife Stacey.
The couple – who have two children together – split up after Giggs’ eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri’s then-wife Natasha.
The 13 time Premier League winner also had a fling with Big Brother stunner Imogen Thomas.
He initially slapped an £3.5million price tag on the sprawling mansion, located on a private road near the pub he owns in a posh Manchester suburb.
However more than 18 months on the plush pile is still for sale, and estate agent Briscombe, Nutter and Staff are asking for potential buyers to provide a price on application.
Given the long wait it looks unlikely that the Red Devil will get his original asking price.
It could mean one lucky Manchester United fan could pick up a bargain property.
The luxurious five-bedroom house has many of the mod cons favoured by footballers.
It has a gym, indoor swimming pool and sauna, as well as a home cinema.
Gigg’s influence can be seen with a football goal placed in the garden.
There are many red, white and black features in a nod to Manchester United – with whom he made 963 appearances.
The spacious master bathroom features a freestanding bath and open shower, as well as his and hers sinks.
However some of the vibrant internal decor could put off some buyers.
The bar, cinema and dining room are all draped with bright purple cloth.
And there is also a life size cutout of pop star Bieber in one of the bedrooms.
The 6,700 square foot estate is located amongst private woodland, with a gated entry system.
Estate agent Briscombe, Nutter and Staff says: “This wonderful property offers several stunning features, with great attention to detail.
“Built to a very high specification throughout, the property comprises of an atrium entrance hall, stunning lounge, kitchen, family room, dining room, utility and gym which leads through to an indoor heated swimming pool and steam room.
“A cinema room and bar complete the ground floor.
“At first floor level there are five double bedrooms all with en-suites and separate wardrobes, together with a gallery landing, office and balcony providing a private and secluded outdoor seating area.”
The house is on private road in the secluded leafy Manchester suburb of Worsley – popular with footballers and Coronation Street stars.
The area is where David Beckham first romanced his now wife Victoria.
The Wales ace bought the land in 2004 and demolished the original house, before building his current five-bedroom mansion.
Giggs used to live at the plush pad with wife Stacey while he was winning Premier League titles and European Cups with Manchester United.
However following the revelation about his long affair with brother Rhodri’s wife the pair split.
The couple’s £40 million divorce went through in late 2017, and in January last year Giggs put the house on the market.
Since then the midfielder has dated PR girl Kate Greville, taking her to the Amalfi Coast in Italy shortly after finalising his split with Stacey.
