Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Dean Henderson will become No.1 for both Manchester United and England.
Henderson has spent the last two seasons on loan at Sheffield United, earning promotion with Chris Wilder’s side, before impressing on his debut season in the Premier League.
Current United first choice David de Gea signed a new four-year £200,00 a week contract earlier this season, but has endured an uncharacteristically up and down campaign.
Solskjaer refused to confirm whether the 23-year-old would again be loaned back to Bramall Lane, but insisted he will be the No.1 at Old Trafford in the future.
“Dean has made some great choices over the years and has developed fantastically,” the United boss told the Mirror. “We’re looking at that in terms of where he’s going to be next season, but as yet that has not been decided.
“This season has proved a great experience for him, he’s done himself some favours with his performances and proved he will be England’s No.1 and Man United’s No.1 at some point.”
