When will Roblox be back up and running? What caused the gaming platform to go down and how long did it stay down?

It’s the second time in less than a week that the popular game has crashed.

After the online gaming platform went down on Sunday, tens of thousands of Roblox players were unable to use it.

The popular game has now crashed for the second time in less than a week.

But what went wrong, and is it back online? Here’s what you need to know.

Roblox has been having issues since Thursday of last week, when the site went down.

According to Robolox founder and CEO David Baszucki, this was “prompted by a subtle bug in [their]backend service communications while under heavy load.”

However, users on website tracker Downdetector reported issues all weekend, with the highest number of reports coming in at 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Roblox has 43.2 million daily active users, making it one of the most popular games on the planet.

“As most of the Roblox community is aware, we recently experienced an extended outage across our platform,” MrBaszucki said in a statement released on Sunday.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in restoring service.

‘Respect the Community’ is a core value at Roblox, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to our community.

“On Thursday, October 28th, users began experiencing issues connecting to our platform.

This became our top priority right away.

Teams started working around the clock to figure out what was causing the problem and restore normalcy.”

“This was an especially difficult outage because it involved a combination of several factors,” he continued.

A subtle bug in our backend service communications caused a core system in our infrastructure to become overwhelmed while under heavy load.

“It wasn’t because of a spike in external traffic or any specific experience.”

Rather, our datacenters’ growing number of servers caused the failure.

As a result, most Roblox services were unable to communicate and deploy effectively.

“Recovery took longer than any of us would have liked due to the difficulty in diagnosing the actual bug.”

We were able to resolve the problem after identifying the root cause through performance tuning, re-configuration, and load scalability.

As of this afternoon, we’ve been able to restore full service.”

Roblox will “publish a post-mortem,” MrBaszucki said.
