Ivanka Trump said it’s ‘not forgivable’ the nation isn’t coming together to celebrate the country’s success, as she praised her father President Donald Trump following his State of The Union address.
The 38-year-old first daughter made the remarks to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday night, describing Trump as being an unabashed ‘cheerleader for American excellence’.
She touted Trump’s accomplishments in the White House, listing off new jobs he created and cited statistics of 10 million people who are now off of welfare.
Ivanka added: ‘For us not to come together as a nation and celebrate America’s success is not forgivable.’

She continued to Hannity: ‘I think that’s why the viewers who were watching today and realizing and celebrating alongside the president, alongside the rest of this country, what is happening.
‘Because we have completely changed the trajectory of this country.
‘And the president is unabashed in being excited about it and celebrating it and just being a cheerleader for American excellence.
‘What motivates this president and what motivates all of us who work for him is the desire to uplift all Americans, which is why it was so important to start at the beginning of the speech talking about how all Americans are benefiting from these policies.
‘Especially blue-collar Americans and those who have been left behind.’
She added: ‘The fact that of all the new jobs created last year, 73 percent of them went to Americans that were marginalized, that were on the sidelines of the economy, not even those that were unemployed, completely on the sidelines.
‘The fact that 10 million Americans have been lifted out of welfare. It is amazing. And he wants that for all Americans.’
Ivanka continued to support her father on Thursday as he celebrated his Senate impeachment acquittal.
She was all smiles and gave Trump a big hug during his caustic victory speech, in which he thanked his family and called out the ‘leakers and liars’ he blamed for impeaching him.
Ivanka was dressed modestly in a black turtleneck and a slate gray pantsuit. On the lapel of her jacket, she had an American flag pin.
President Trump said at his victory speech: ‘I’ve done things wrong in my life, I will admit … but this is what the end result is, then held up a copy of the Washington Post with the headline ‘Trump acquitted.’
The Republican president then handed the newspaper to his wife, Melania, and said maybe they would frame it.
The Republican-controlled Senate on Wednesday voted to acquit Trump on charges brought by the Democratic-led House of Representatives, only the third time in U.S. history that a president has been impeached.
The acquittal was Trump’s biggest victory yet over his Democratic foes in Congress, who had attacked Senate Republicans for refusing to call witnesses or seek new evidence at the trial.
Ivanka celebrated the news on Wednesday by taking to Instagram to post a throwback snapshot of herself giving two thumbs up while wearing a red, white, and blue USA knit hat at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
