Jessica Simpson furiously hit back at her ex Nick Lachey on Thursday, after he made a historic jive at her father Joe’s sexuality.

The actress, 39, appeared on Andy Cohen’s Radio Andy, where she was asked if she heard about his 2013 interview with Nick, 46, when he made the savage dig.

At the time, Nick was asked what the best thing was about no longer having Joe as a father-in-law, to which he responded: ‘The best thing about not having Joe Simpson as a father-in-law anymore is I don’t have to play grab-a** under the table on Easter Sunday.’

When Cohen brought up Lachey’s 2013 interview, Simpson said she, ‘had heard about it.’

‘That’s low…that’s not for him to talk about, by any means, because he isn’t connected to us at all anymore.’

When Cohen asked if she reached out to him after hearing about the comments, Simpson said, ‘Oh gosh no,’ adding she was ‘very p****d.’

She added, ‘He was just trying to… he was just bitter, you know, and he was just trying to take a dig.’

Jessica has said in previous interviews that she does not discuss her father’s sexuality in her memoir Open Book, stating, ‘It’s not my story to tell.’

Jessica was the first child of Joe and Tina Simpson, who got married in 1978 but surprisingly split in 2012, which Simpson says in the book, ‘blindsided’ her.

The news that Joe and Tina were splitting came just three days before Jessica married her second husband, Eric Johnson.

‘My father called me three days before we left for the wedding to tell me he was bringing his friend Jonathan, a young model he often shot for his new photography business,’ Simpson said in her book, adding he, ‘wasn’t on the list.’

She added the divorce news, ‘triggered his natural salesmanship. He pitched it to me as a positive thing.’

Simpson and Lachey were married in 2002, after four years of dating, since Simpson was just 18 years of age.

The pair split in November 2005 and their divorce was finalized in June 2006.

The singer and actress married former NFL player Eric Johnson in 2014, and they have three children, Maxwell Drew, 7, Ace Knute, 6 and Birdie Mae, 10 months.
