Melania Trump went for a ladylike vibe on Thursday as she joined her husband in the White House’s East Room for a celebratory address following his impeachment acquittal.
The 49-year-old watched on as President Trump spoke to supporters and political allies for over an hour, then joined him at the podium to give him a kiss — and give camera a glimpse of her outfit of the day.
She wore a $1,290 black and white polka-dot Gabriela Hearst blouse for the occasion, which she layered with a $1,395 Michael Kors blazer.
Melania took a cue from Hollywood celebrities with her styling, layering her black blazer over her shoulders but not putting her arms through the sleeves — a drink that includes the blazer or jacket but doesn’t obscure the line of the outfit underneath.
She watched her husband finish up his speech with a smile on her glossy lips.
She wore her brown her hair down as she often does, and finished off with a dark smoky eye, bronzer, and groomed brows.
She took a moment to wave at some of her husband’s supporters.
Before they walked off, Trump put his hand around his wife’s and drew her near, pursing his lips into a kiss inches from her face.
The first lady turned her cheek to the smooch, facing the gathered crowd.
Trump spent the speech thanking his family, complimented his friends, and name-dropped those he blamed for impeaching him.
‘It was evil, it was corrupt, it was dirty cops,’ he said. ‘It was leakers and liars.’
The president also referred to the Russia probe as ‘all bulls***’ to the East Room crowd.
Former FBI Director James Comey was the first opponent who came up.
‘Had I not fired James Comey – who was a disaster, by the way – it’s possible I may not have even been standing here right now,’ Trump said. ‘When I fired that sleazebag, all hell broke out,’ he later added.
The president also had choice words for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff, Sen. Mitt Romney, Hunter Biden former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe — and the FBI lovers, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
On Tuesday, Melania turned up to the State of the Union address wearing all black.
She picked a black skirt and a black jacket featuring a double row of big buttons down the front and a slight peplum that accented her waist.
It was a custom skirt suit by Dolce & Gabbana, and a similar version sailed down the Fall 2019 runway, only in herringbone.
She accessorized with black heels, and as always styled her hair down and wore glossy lips and a smoky eye.
